Founder and Managing Director, Iain is proud to have formed Blueoak Estates in 2014. Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Residential Development, Iain has worked in the industry for over 20 years. His widespread career has seen him involved in a diverse spectrum or residential schemes ranging from single plots to volume developments of over 1000 homes. Iain’s real passion lies in the development of quality bespoke niche housing and this was the driving force behind establishing Blueoak Estates. Surrounded by a dynamic team with an impressively diverse and extensive skill set, Iain is looking forward to expanding Blueoaks reputation for beautifully designed and crafted homes. Outside of work he enjoys spending his well-earned downtime surrounded by his large family and travelling.
Dave Foran
Corporate Finance Advisor
Dave joins the team as a Senior Finance Advisor, bringing a wealth of expertise to support Blueoak’s growth. Collaborating with the finance team, Dave will further establish robust systems, ensuring the business plan is well-supported.
With a strong background as a qualified accountant from Grant Thornton, he has extensive experience in audit, corporate finance, and senior financial leadership. Outside of work, Dave balances family life with his love of sport, fine dining, and fitness, striving to stay active and healthy.
Mark Roberts
Chief Executive Officer
After leaving University with a degree in History, Mark has had a diverse and broad-ranging career. He started work with one of the largest food companies in Europe and worked right across the supply chain. His roles included managing large scale operations in both manufacturing and logistics as well as leading multi-functional strategic projects.
In 2008, he joined a leading third-party logistics company to head up their business development team with responsibility across all sales, marketing and IT activities. He played a key role in significantly growing the business prior to its sale in 2016.
Since then, Mark has been a Director of Coda Investments Ltd, a family office investment firm based in the North West. The company has interests in a range of businesses in the area including residential and commercial property development, manufacturing, and technology. Mark acts as Non-Executive Director to several of the businesses.
Mark has been married to Kerry for 28 years and has two children. His interests outside of work include watching sport, travelling and attempting to learn Spanish.
Michael Bryce
Operations Director
With over two decades of experience within the construction industry, Mike brings a wealth of experience to his role as the Commercial Director at Blueoak Estates. Having worked on a wide variety of projects with Morris Homes and Bovis Homes, Mike plays a key role in strengthening the business and supporting Blueoak’s ongoing growth within the North West. Whilst overseeing the Commercial Department, Mike is also responsible for managing a number of key projects across each of our developments. Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and socialising with friends.
Graham Armitage
Operations Manager
Blueoak Estates Operations Manager, Graham Armitage, is responsible for overseeing Blueoak’s technical side of the business including contract preparation works and ensuring compliance with various regulations and industry requirements. With a degree in civil engineering and over 40 years building experience, Graham possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, playing a vital role in liaising with the company’s design, operations and other management teams. In his spare time Graham enjoys watching rugby in his role as President of Caldy RFC, and is also a keen golfer and member of Caldy Golf Club
Clare Goodwin
Sales Manager
Our Sales Manager, Clare Goodwin, brings over seventeen years of comprehensive experience in the North West property sector, having excelled in every role from Sales Negotiator through to Branch Manager. Her deep understanding of the market and commitment to client satisfaction make her an invaluable asset to our team. Outside of work, Clare enjoys spending time with her family, dogs and exploring new walks.
Holly Palmer
Marketing Manager
Responsible for the coordination of Blueoak Estates marketing activity, Holly manages each part of the process from company advertising through to social media and charity involvement within the local community. A local Chester resident, Holly enjoys spending her free time exploring Cheshire’s stunning countryside with her family and indulging in her passion for photography.
Bryony Smith
Client Support Manager
Our Client Support Manager, Bryony Smith, ensures our clients consistently receive a professional and efficient service. Having previously worked as a PA and Office Manager, Bryony also holds over ten years’ experience working in customer-service related roles. Having recently relocated back to the Wirral, Bryony enjoys long walks along the Wirral Way, catching up with family, cooking and heading to the gym.
Gareth Pritchard
Planning and Design Consultant
Heading up Planning and Design, Gareth holds over twenty years of industry experience having worked with a variety of regional and national residential developers. Gareth plays a key role, achieving award winning product design and utilising varying construction techniques. Gareth is expert at creating, refining and preserving design and build quality from conception to end product. During his spare time Gareth enjoys travelling, running a local Chester 20/20 cricket team, and is a keen member of Eaton Golf Club.
Anthony Siddall
Technical Manager
Technical Manager, Anthony Siddall oversees a variety of key areas within Blueoak Estates, including the management of sectional agreements, site investigations, design consultants and utilities, whilst also assisting with land viability. Anthony has enjoyed a long-standing and successful career within the housebuilding sector, working as design manager and more recently technical manager for Watkin Jones. Anthony enjoys spending his free time with his family and walking his two lively dogs, Pip and Scooby. A keen weight lifter, Anthony also loves to watch rugby union and take part in various outdoor pursuits
Aaron Phillips
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Aaron Phillips is our experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, providing commercial support through tendering, estimating, reporting, and maintaining monthly valuations. With over twenty-five years of industry experience working for regional and national residential developers, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, particularly football, and attending concerts. His dedication and extensive experience make him a valuable asset to our company.
Josh Jones
Financial Controller
Our experienced Finance Manager, Josh Jones oversees every part of of the company’s finances and investments, ensuring that cash flows and budgets are managed effectively. Outside work, Josh enjoys playing for Anselmians Rugby first team as well as hitting the slopes in the winter months.
Samson Layisi
Accounts Assistant
Our Accounts Assistant, Samson Layisi brings valuable experience from his previous roles as a Finance Assistant at Newday Healthcare Professionals. He holds a degree in Mathematics and Finance and is currently working towards his CIMA qualification. Samson’s responsibilities include general bookkeeping and accounting within the finance department. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, family caravan holidays, and has a great sense of humour with a passion for motor racing.

Our Sustainability Consultant, Paul Byrne, brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Having gained extensive construction experience working at Lancaster City Council, Carillion Specialist Services and Premier Guarantee, Paul will be ensuring that Blueoak maintains its exacting standards within Blueoak’s building control, energy performance and sustainability commitments. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time flying his paramotor, watching football and keeping up to date with current affairs.
Bob Hyatt
Acquisition Consultant
Bob Hyatt leads Blueoak’s acquisition efforts, identifying prime properties, land, and unique opportunities for high-quality residential developments across the North and North West. As a seasoned professional surveyor, he brings extensive experience across all major property sectors and is skilled in guiding projects from inception to successful completion. Bob focuses on securing land, feature properties, and office spaces for conversion into premium apartments in dynamic town and cityscapes.
